Lora & Raph - 'The Tide'

Lora Bidner and Raphael Weinroth Browne came by to film a live performance of Lora's song 'The Tide'  It was a very short session of only a few hours plus a few hours of mixing.  Kudos on a fantastic job on the video by Simon Stiles and Corey Graham!

I decided to make good use of the large space in the gallery for the ambience the song needed.  Outside of the shots used in the video are two pairs of stereo room mics. The first was a pair of Josephson C42s in XY about ten feet back from the performers.  The second pair was AKG 451s placed about twenty feet apart, twenty feet back and as high as I could get the stands to go.   On the mix I had some fun blending these room mics to see what kind of spread was achievable.

I would like to note that no pitch correction was used at all so what is played in the video is what was happening in the room.
